Peripheral Doppler ultrasound, also referred to as limb Doppler ultrasound, is a non-invasive imaging technique used to evaluate blood flow in the arteries and veins of the arms and legs. This method utilizes high-frequency sound waves to generate real-time images and measure the speed and direction of blood flow in these blood vessels. Other uses of this technique include diagnosing and monitoring conditions such as peripheral artery disease, deep vein thrombosis, and assessing blood flow following vascular surgery.
