Neck Contrast CT-Scan

A neck contrast CT scan is a diagnostic imaging procedure that uses X-rays and a contrast dye to create detailed images of the neck area. This technique provides more information than a plain CT scan by highlighting blood vessels, organs, and other structures in the neck.

During the procedure, you will lie on a table that slides into a large, doughnut-shaped machine called a CT scanner. A contrast dye, usually iodine-based, is injected into a vein in your arm or hand. The CT scanner rotates around your neck, capturing multiple X-ray images from different angles. These images are then processed by a computer to create detailed cross-sectional images of the neck, providing valuable information for diagnosis and treatment.
