Routine Obstetric USG with estimation of Gestational Age (Dating)

The most common imaging procedure performed during pregnancy is the obstetric ultrasound. The primary goal of a dating ultrasound is to determine the gestational age of the fetus and estimate the expected delivery date. During the ultrasound exam, a transducer is gently moved over the abdominal area, emitting sound waves that bounce off the structures within the uterine cavity. These reflected sound waves create real-time images displayed on a monitor, allowing healthcare professionals to assess the growth and development of the pregnancy.
