Sonography, a medical imaging technique, employs high-frequency sound waves to create real-time images of the body's internal structures. This safe and non-invasive procedure avoids the use of ionizing radiation. During a sonography exam, a small handheld device known as a transducer is utilized. The transducer emits sound waves into the body and detects the echoes reflected back from organs and tissues. These echoes are then converted into images by a computer and displayed on a monitor in real-time.
