Orbit Plain CT-Scan

For a plain CT scan, no contrast dye is used, which provides a baseline image of your orbits. After capturing the initial images, a contrast dye may be injected into a vein in your arm. The dye enhances the visibility of blood vessels, tumors, inflammation, and other abnormalities in the orbits. You might feel a warm sensation or a metallic taste in your mouth when the dye is administered.
