Renal Color Doppler

Renal color Doppler ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging technique used to assess blood flow in the kidneys. This method utilizes high-frequency sound waves to generate real-time images and measure the speed and direction of blood flow in the renal arteries and veins.

During the procedure, a gel is applied to the skin overlying the kidneys. A handheld device called a transducer emits sound waves into the area. These sound waves bounce off the moving blood cells and are detected by the transducer. The transducer then converts the echoes into images, providing valuable information about the blood flow.
